Entering the Residence

Do you want to join the Residence? Whether you are a student of the École Centrale de Lille, of the ENSCL or of another institution, here is the procedure

Registration procedure

  1. Housing application

You must first register on the portal of the Residence (you can find the link here).

Quotas of places are reserved, as follows:

  •  If you are a future G1 student of the Ecole Centrale de Lille, a connection code has been provided to you by the school or via the SCEI platform.
  • If you are an international student in a double degree program at Ecole Centrale de Lille, the International and Academic Relations Department will be your first point of contact: pole.ria@centralelille.fr
  • If you are an ENSCL student, the ENSCL school service will be your first point of contact.

Once your request is made, you will receive a housing file to be returned to us as soon as possible.

Please read the instructions carefully to avoid any mistakes.

Please note: being registered at the Ecole Centrale de Lille or the ENSCL does not mean being registered at the Residence.

2. Construction of the file

The different elements of the file as well as the documents to be provided will be specified in the confirmation email.

You will receive these documents to sign electronically. The guarantor and the tenant will each receive their part to complete and sign.

NB: If we encounter a problem with your documents, we will contact you by email. If this is not the case, your file is complete.

3. Editing of lease contracts

Once your file is complete and assignments are made, you will receive your lease agreement, again by electronic signature. Once the contract is signed by the IGA, your guarantor will receive a copy.

You will be asked to pay the security deposit online, otherwise you will not be able to move into the Residence.

NB: This mailing takes place a few days before school starts. It is normal that you do not receive anything before.

Handing over of the keys and inventory of fixtures

On the day of your entry, the staff of the Residence will give you your keys and an inventory of fixtures. This handover will take place at the reception desk of the Residence.  We adapt the inventory of fixtures procedure to ensure the safety of all. You may be accompanied or you may have to do it yourself (if it is the case, you will have to return it in the mailbox, at the reception of the Residence).

The technical team will check it, and make some interventions if needed.

This document testifies to the state of the apartment when the tenant arrived, and makes it possible to determine the share of repairs and cleaning to be paid by the tenant or by the AGR at the time of departure.

About the lease

The lease is established for a maximum period of one year, not renewable by tacit agreement, and necessarily ends on August 31 of the following year.

Readmission is possible, but not automatic. A procedure is sent by email during the year. In some cases, depending on the dates of arrival at the Residence, the dates of your lease may be different.

The lease can be terminated at any time with one month's notice, according to the regulations in force. Please note that the CAF only pays the APL for full months.

As the rent is deducted with a one month difference, you will have to pay your last rent one month after your departure. The amount will be automatically deducted from your bank account.
